At every stage in the food chain from seed to supper, good food is literally thrown away.
And when we throw away a banana for being too bent, or an avocado for a tiny blemish, we throw away every stage of the process that went into creating it.

We think that’s a crying shame.  But we’re not crying, we’re creating.
Coming up with the tastiest ways to bring these perfectly imperfect rejects to the table.

Where is it wasted?

39% in production
Discarded for aesthetic reasons, slight damage, or just overstocking. Believe us, we’re working on it!

5% in supermarkets
Customer expectations pressure supermarkets to discard the visually imperfect.  Good news: they’re increasingly donating surplus to food banks.

14% in hospitality
An easy place to over-cater with too large portions or no shows.  Our 250g pots are the perfect snacking size with less likelihood of leftovers.

42% at home
By far the biggest waste happens in the home, but we can change that.

How?
By not confusing sell-by dates with consume-by dates.
By serving human not giant sized portions.
By thinking creatively about left-overs.
